Following the release of our first-ever sneaker Made in LA and an eco-friendly unisex capsule collection with premium performance apparel brand Vuori, we continue our focus on sustainability and minimalist design with a new unisex collection made from Appleskin™ just in time for the fall harvest.


Available on our most popular Bradley and Malone court shoes and Joshua runner, each style is crafted with a sustainable upper from apple waste repurposed from the juice industry in Italy. The shoes also include eco-friendly elements of GRS-certified recycled mesh, laces, foam insoles, and GOTS-certified organic cotton lining. Appleskin™ preserves the essential characteristics of traditional leather with reduced environmental impact.

The capsule's unique off-white colorway and texture are inspired by the flesh of an apple, with a contrasting triple black colorway inspired by the rare black apple. Our tried and true Ellington is an additional style available in triple black.

What is Appleskin™?
Appleskin™ is a sustainable material made with apple waste from the juice industry.

How is Appleskin™ produced?
The apple waste is mixed to produce synthetic material, cutting 50% of the consumption of PU (polyurethane).

Where is it made?
Appleskin™ is produced in MABEL's factory near Florence, Campi Bisenzio.

What are the certifications for Appleskin™?
At the moment, we do not hold a certification. By the end of next year, we plan to have multiple certifications from OEKO-TEX and GRS.

Why is it sustainable compared to traditional leather?
By using the apple waste, we save the Co2 emissions related to the burning of this waste and cut the use of fossil resources in half.

How breathable and flexible is apple compared to traditional leather?
The material is breathable, waterproof, and highly resistant to abrasion and flexometries.

What is the best way to clean Appleskin™ sneakers?
It is preferable to use only a wet cloth. Solvents or alcohol are not to be used.
