This Charming Guest



One of our good friends (and fellow Brooklyn Tech High School alumni) Shaniqwa Jarvis has an upcoming show entitled "This Charming Guest" going on display at The STANDARD Hollywood this Thursday. This project was spawned by her recent photo exhibit called "This charming man" which took place in London and Tokyo. Eames Powers of Ten Video Response Competition


The Office of Charles and Ray Eames created their monumental 1977 film, Powers Of Ten, to try to give an idea of scale in the Universe. As part of their 10/10/10 celebration, The Eames Office has created a competition for users to submit a short film response to POT, no more than 2 minutes long. The deadline is Jan 9, 2011. [More]

His Wife Maira's whimsical take on everyday life is an inspiration, whether through her work with M & Co., her children's books, or her many illustrations for The New Yorker.
