Dieter Rams is one of the most influential designers of the last century, who forever changed the way people and brands approach product design. His Ten Principles for Good Design laid the foundations on how to approach and create timeless product designs. Rams principles included the thought of “Less, but Better,” which stressed the idea that design should make people’s life easier by being simple yet highly functional. In the course of his career at the German consumer products company Braun, Dieter Rams developed hundreds of innovative consumer products; it is hard not to see, for example, similarities between Apple's recent product designs and those Dieter Rams created years ago. The products he designed for Braun and Vitsoe that spoke to his principles have travelled to many museums and exhibits around the world and can now be found at his
Less and More exhibition that is currently at SF MOMA. We hope you have the chance to view the exhibit before it closes on February 20th.
